In Zhytomyr, Ukraine we have a bus ministry. It is a little different than a bus ministry is in the United States. We currently have one bus with 400,000 kilometers on it. It is used to:

transport the Ukrainian Hope Mission Team to villages and evanglistic outings.
transport people from one village to another. See Village Ministries page for more information
transport short term mission team from Kiev to Zhytomyr and during their stay here in Ukraine

We are currently praying about God supplying us with another 15 passenger van. If we had two vans we could split our work and safe some time and/or expand the ministry work here in Ukraine.

Owning passenger vans here in Ukraine is extremely expensive. The following are regular expenses of owning a van:

diesel ($6.88 a gallon)
regular maintenance (roads in Ukraine are very bad); brakes, shocks, oil changes, etc.
registration (must be registered every 6 months)

To purchase an used passenger van would cost us approximately $30,000 (as time passes the cost WILL go up)
