| Currently we are ministering to four villages in the Zhytomr Region of Ukraine. Syvtin, Verisay, Dinishi, and Perilyvka. 95% of the people are children.
In Syvtin and Verisay (we meet in Syvtin) we have the most children. We actually could divide the children into three groups; preschool, school, and young people. We usually have around 25 children attend services each week. Natasha and Max teach all the children except the preschool children. Debra and Julia have started, this summer, a preschool class.
The children in these villages are very faithful and they are the future of Ukraine. Some have made professions of faith and need to be encouraged to stay in their Bible and learn all they can about God. They need to set examples for those who do not know Christ. We want to train the older children to teach and take on some leadership roles. Please pray for these children
In Dinishi and Perilyvka (we meet in Dinishi) we have approximately 10 children that come faithfully to services. Almost all these children have made professions of faith. We really saw the older children during camp come out and take on leadership roles. It thrilled our hearts to see their desires to serve the Lord. We ask that you please pray for these children.
We are praying that God will continue to keep the door open in a new village that we have been to visit. That is the village of Ulyanivka. This village is about 6 km from Dinishi. Please pray for God's will for this village. There are many children and adults that show a desire to come and worship God.
How can you help with the Village ministry? Here is a list of things that we need help with:
- gasoline for transporter children from one village to another
- teaching material (we really need to provide these children with some literature in their language for daily reading and studying)
- gifts (each week if someone had a birthday we give them a present)
- crafts
- snacks
